Cody Rhodes has broken his silence on social media following his heartbreaking loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.
The American Nightmare came up short in their attempt to dethrone the Tribal Chief due to a ton of outside interference from The Bloodline during the match, which marked Reigns’ third consecutive WrestleMania event with a successful title defense. Cody sought revenge on the post-WrestleMania Raw, but was instead brutally attacked by Brock Lesnar .
Today, Cody took to Instagram to talk about his loss. He says he hopes to address his future in WWE on next week’s Raw.
A long week. I know that last Sunday was not the result that I was hoping for, and I know that a lot of fans were disappointed as well. I don’t make excuses. I missed.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t tell you how much I enjoyed the trip…until Sunday night and Monday night, too.
