Jacob Alvarenga Mejía, a 28-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter for fatally stabbing another Hispanic man who he allegedly caught stealing the wheels of his luxury car in Long Island (NY).

Alvarenga Mejía was at his home on Jericho Turnpike in Bellerose Village at about 1:30 a.m. on May 13 when he saw three men trying to steal the wheels and tires of his Toyota Highlander 2023 parked, Nassau County police said.
