The coach of the Chelsea, Frank Lampard, has reacted after the team’s defeat this Saturday against Wolves 0-1, in a statement in which he asked the fans for time for the new players to settle in the club, given that new additions have arrived in recent months.
“Some players have entered, you have to give them time to settle… they have to understand what it means to play for Chelsea”, expressed the 44-year-old coach.
Lampard went on to emphasize that the players “They have to know what it means to wear the Chelsea badge, the fans react to that. I guarantee that the time I am here I will work on its development.
It should be remembered that only in the winter market, Los Azules made a total of 8 signings, all of a high level, in which the names of the Portuguese stand out joao felix (loan), the Ivorian David Fofana and the ukrainian Mykhaylo Mudryk.
Lampard once again assumed the reins of the team in which he already led for 2 seasons in 2019 and 2021 and where he is also one of the greatest emblems after having played for 13 consecutive seasons (2001/2014).
Next Wednesday Chelsea will face Real Madrid at the Santiago Barnabéu for the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.
