Both teams were not entirely safe because each of them had their insecurities. Although, obviously the strongest was MJF and Sammy who correctly took turns in combat. However, there came a time when the differences between the two began due to the lack of coordination of the relays, since each one wanted to show off.
This caused MJF to get angry and slap Sammy hard, stating that he paid him, so he would do what he ordered. MJF’s bad decision caused Sammy to lose patience and decide to attack the AEW World Champion with a Superkick, leaving him injured outside the ring.
The end of this pact/relationship helped Jack Perry and Darby Allin a lot. Both took advantage of the situation and went on top of Guevara. Finally, Jack performed a Super Elbow to Sammy’s neck followed by Darby Allin’s Coffin Drop which nearly hurt Jack. In this way, both take the victory and with it the opportunity to join the Combat for the AEW World Heavy Championship.
So, we will have what many people wanted. A Fatal 4-Way between the Pillars of AEW for the maximum title of the company in AEW Double or Nothing 2023.
