UEFA celebrates this Friday in Nyon (Switzerland) the draw for the quarterfinals of the Champions League. Eight teams enter a pure and unconditional draw, where Real Madrid is the only Spanish representative and will defend its status as current champion. The four qualifiers will be played on April 11 and 12 (first leg) and 18 and 19 of the same month (return).
This year, the draw for the quarterfinals will leave the path to the grand final in Istanbul. In other words, all the teams will know both their rival in the quarterfinals and their possible pairing in the semifinals, as well as which clubs will not meet until the hypothetical final on June 10. As it is a pure draw, teams from the same country can face each other, something that could not happen in the group stage or in the round of 16.
The eight teams classified for the 2022-2023 Champions League quarterfinal draw are Chelsea, Benfica, Bayern, Milan, Manchester City, Inter, Real Madrid and Napoli. Italy has three representatives, something that has not happened since 2006. England contributes two teams, while Spain, Germany and Portugal contribute a club.
Schedule and TV to see the draw
