Over the years, a number of WWE Superstars have turned to the rude side. While fans expected some to do so, there have been some unexpected names that turned their backs on him and went down the path of becoming villains. In a similar scenario, there is a strong possibility that a SmackDown Superstar will have a change of heart.
The superstar in question is the 16-time world champion, John Cena. Since his return to SmackDown, Cena has been on the lips of many. Although he had a run-in with Jimmy Uso on his return to the blue brand, many want to see the Cenation leader take on L.A. Knight .
If this fight happens, Cena might have to turn to the rude side after a long time. Knight is currently one of the biggest faces and the Stamford-based promotion is looking to give him a big boost.
Keeping the same in mind, Cena will have to have a trade up to push Knight.
While this angle is speculative, if it comes to fruition, it won’t be the first time Cena has turned heel. In 2002, the 46-year-old had his character from Dr of Thuganomicswhere he was a rapper who loved to talk as much as he loved to fight, however this was before his rise to the star scene. If Cena does spin again, it will be interesting to see what he does going forward when all WWE news outlets presumably blow up.
