long before Challenging Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes portrayed the WWE character Stardust, which bore similarities to Goldust played by his brother Dustin Rhodes.
When Cody was asked about the lowest point during his career, he mentioned his time as Stardust.
“There were a lot of bottoms (touched by Stardust),” Rhodes told Ariel Helwani for BT Sports . “Charlotte Flair took a fan to a show. She said to him, ‘Hey, do you want to meet Stardust?’ and i just wasn’t painted or anything there earlier in the day like my sweats. I was like, ‘Yeah, yeah, and I used to wrestle like Cody Rhodes.
“And he was like, ‘What? Who? What do you mean?’ I had no idea that he had won the Intercontinental title or won some Tag Team or Legacy titles. Nothing. Stardust was the only thing I knew about myself, and that was a moment where I hit rock bottom.”
