The Mexican soccer player, Carlos Salcedo, is emerging as one of the most important reinforcements of La Máquina de Cruz Azul for the Apertura 2023 tournament of the Liga MX and just this Wednesday he arrived in Mexico City to finalize the last details of what his contract will be before signing his signature with the cement companies.
The defender was quite excited after his arrival at the airport and had a small contact with the media, to which he assured them that he hopes to achieve his “revenge” due to the unsuccessful tournaments he has played in Mexico in recent seasons; he is confident that under the orders of Ricardo ‘Tuca’ Ferretti he can lift the champion’s trophy.
“It has not been easy, I did not visualize myself here because I had gone to the MLS, I had other plans, something happened with my wife, I had to return here and the opportunity was given to me in Juárez and now I spoke with Tuca, he motivated me a lot, I come in very good shape, I want that revenge and to speak on the field,” he said, according to TUDN.
“It’s a dream, we know what Cruz Azul represents, I don’t believe it, I’m happy to reach the magnitude of this institutionI know what it means to be here, I always visualized myself playing in the capital and it comes true. I have many feelings and desire to contribute”, added Salcedo.
“I know that Tuca is going to do good things because his numbers speak and I know that asking Charly Rodríguez there is a great group, they are guys who want to transcend and that is the important thing. That is the important thing is that the fans are always there, I have had to face them a lot as a rival, it is a hobby that messes with the team a lot and I hope that during the time that I can be there, I continue to enjoy the fans ”, he concluded.
Return to the Mexican National Team.
Regarding a possible call back with the Mexican National Team, Carlos Salcedo was not so interested in it and assured that his only objective for the moment is to work at Cruz Azul to seek to have the best possible performance; the defender was separated from the team a couple of years ago and has not been able to return despite his sporting level.
“I focus here, I think it has been a bit unfair, but I don’t decide and if it has to happen, it will happen, first things have to happen here and speak within the field, which is what is my responsibility”, he pointed out.
