The Mexican boxer, Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez, has activated the alarms after suffering facial paralysis due to the extreme stress he has been going through in recent months, a fact that jeopardizes the fight that will take place on May 6 against the British John Ryder at the Akron stadium in Guadalajara.
Álvarez, who currently serves as champion of multiple categories in world boxing, revealed in conversations with Javier “Chicharito” Hernández the great difficulties that he has been experiencing when he is in a difficult moment like the one he is in, especially due to the stress that you must carry to be prepared for your combat.
“The more you have, fame or money, the more problems you have, the more responsibilities, that’s the truth, but it’s okayBecause you can teach many things when you are a leader”, explained the Aztec boxer.
The boxer from Guadalajara explained that on most occasions it is not easy to deal with all the tension that they must go through as public figures, a fact that has taken its toll on him in recent weeks.
“I got facial paralysis not long ago because of the stress it brought and so many things I had, so those who work with me got worried., because they are my friends and they are the ones who are there. Those who were in charge of the cars asked me ‘what happened to her? Why is she like this?’, and I told them that it was pure fucking stress. “Do not stain, we thought that she had no worries, that she was not stressed,” she said.
“But in the end it’s worth it, especially when you know how to handle the situation. Blessed God I have never had any vice, the only one is golf. I have my family, which is the most important thing in my life,” concluded Canelo.
