Canada finished condemning the morale of the United States after defeating them with a score of 127-118 and took third place in the 2023 Basketball World Cup in Indonesia, the Philippines and Japan.
After a fairly close match that was decided in overtime, Team USA was left without a medal for the first time since 2002.
In what was an unexpected duel for bronze between two of the favorite teams, both teams were only playing for the honor since they had already qualified for the Olympic Games.
Serbia and Germany were in charge of ending the hopes of Canada and the United States in the semifinals, respectively.
Canadian Dillon Brooks shone, finishing the first half with 21 points and 5/5 in triples. In this way, Canada appeased the almighty United States and closed its great World Cup with the bronze medal.
