The MotoGP World Championship is back after a week off. The Austrian Grand Prix takes place from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 August. This is the eleventh race of the MotoGP season.
The MotoGP British Grand Prix was a big celebration for the championship’s 75th anniversary. There were period decorations and helmets paying tribute to the sport’s great legends, as well as several special events throughout the weekend.
Enea Bastianini, with one of his film-like finishes, was able to slightly change the script of the last few races and cut the streak of his teammate and defending champion, Pecco Bagnaia, who had just won four consecutive Grand Prix and climbed to the lead.
MotoGP Practice 1 Qualifying
Pecco Bagnaia leads the podium, followed by Franco Morbidelli in second position and Jorge Martin in third. Marc Marquez is just a few steps away from the podium, finishing fourth in Austria. Alex Marquez is 6th, Aleix Espargaro, 7th and Maverick Viñales, 8th.
