Formula 1 returns after last weekend’s break. Max Verstappen, current champion of the competition and top favorite for victory, will seek to repeat the first place he achieved in both Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, the first two races of this season. The Dutchman has been unbeatable for several years, except for some races that have been taken from him by drivers like Pérez, Sainz, Leclerc or Russell.

After crossing the last finish line by more than 13 seconds over his teammate Sergio Pérez, the second on the podium, an easy race is expected for Mad Max, on a circuit where he already took victory last season. The Red Bull team, which has both drivers on staff, is experiencing a turbulent time due to internal problems. Other drivers who can surprise in Melbourne are the Monegasque Charles Leclerc; the British George Russell, Lando Norris or the seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton; the Australian Oscar Piastri or the Spanish Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso. Sainz could not compete in the last grand prix due to appendicitis, while Alonso finished fifth and continues looking for his 33rd victory in his history.
