About the tape

Filmed in Staten Island, a socially and aesthetically marginalized neighborhood in New York, Third Week It stars Alvin, a young African-American who has just been released from prison after serving a two-year sentence, and who struggles to get ahead without repeating the mistakes of the past. Alvin’s strained relationship with his absent and problematic mother weighs on him and forces him to reconnect with the world that landed him in prison and that he has been desperately trying to avoid in order to rebuild his life.

Filmed in black and white, the film is an independent co-production between Spain and the United States that was selected to be part of the Spanish Screenings Tour 2023.
