Singer Ariana Grande30, confessed to all her fans about her evolution in accepting herself as a woman, and how, when she was younger, She even used botox and lip fillers on more than one occasion.
The performer made the revelations in a Beauty Secrets video for Vogue magazine, where she also shared her makeup and beauty routine.
“Total transparency as a beauty person, just like my lips, I’ve had a lot of lip filler over the years and botox. I stopped doing it in 2018 because it affected me too much. “I wanted to hide”Grande acknowledged in the video, before starting to cry.
“I didn’t expect to get emotional. For a long time, for me beauty was something that was hidden, and now it’s not anymore. Since I stopped getting fillers and botox, and maybe one day I’ll start again, I don’t know… To each their own, whatever you do. “You must feel beautiful”.
In addition to sharing that her beauty inspirations in life are Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, the actress also delved into her perception of beauty since she began her musical career.
“I feel like my relationship with beauty has changed a lot over the years, especially since I started so young.
“Being exposed to so many voices at a young age, especially with people who have things to say about your appearance, it’s really hard to know what’s worth listening to and what’s not.”.
Grande said that she felt ugly on several occasions, which made her resort to heavy makeup to hide her real features from her fans.
“When you’re 17, you don’t really know much yet. I, over the years, used makeup as a disguise or something to hide behind.
“More and more hair, thicker and thicker; the eyeliner. And that can be beautiful sometimes, and I still love and appreciate it. But I think as I get older, I don’t love that that’s the intention behind it.”
