The Appeals Committee ruled this Thursday regarding the incidents that occurred at the Metropolitan Stadium during the Madrid derby on September 29. The ruling reduces the partial closure of the ultra stands of the Atlético de Madrid stadium from three games to just one, responsible for throwing lighters towards the area of Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois. In addition, the Appeal also agrees to the financial fine imposed on the club of 3,000 euros. This sanction is independent of the proposal issued by the Anti-Violence Commission this Tuesday, in which they request the total closure of the stadium for 15 days and a fine of 65,000 euros to the club. The latter must be approved by the Secretary of State for Security.
