The Spanish midfielder Álex Baena has broken the silence and published a statement in which denounced that he has received multiple insults and threats of death against his family after all the roll with Fede Valverde.
“The damage that is being done to my family is irreparable and unjustifiable: threats, insults and even private messages wishing my family death“, denounced the footballer.
In the communiqué he also expressed about how he feels about the problem with Valverde. “He took advantage of a misfortune to justify an assaultand there are lies that hurt more than blows.
Baena denied Valverde’s version, which states that throughout the game the Villareal footballer made reference to the fact that the Uruguayan’s son was not going to be born.
“After what happened, some statements, allegedly made by his entourage, came to light, in which it was said that he had wished the pain of a relative. Since then, and how could it be otherwise, no evidence has been published of what is charged against me“he added.
In addition, the midfielder stated that he will let authorities investigate the case and he will concentrate on his sports activities.
“Yesterday I reported the case to the police. Let justice do its job. Now, my only goal is to focus on my profession”.
