According to the information revealed by the medical team of the azulcrema team through their social networks, the player suffered a multifragmented nose bone fracture due to the hard blow he suffered to the face in the match played at the Azteca Stadium.
The good news for the Coapa team is that the player will not miss any commitment in the final stage of the Clausura 2023 tournament, because he will undergo an operation right after the end of the competition; After this, he will spend a month and a half (between four and six weeks) in recovery until he is completely healthy to be able to return to the field.
“Club América informs that the player Alejandro Zendejas, after the blow received yesterday in the game against Monterreypresented a fracture of the bones of the multifragmented nose ”, began the text released by Club América.
“After the specialist’s assessment, conservative treatment was given, performing a closed reduction to stabilize the fracture, so that later, in a timely manner, surgery could be performed. When the surgical procedure is performed, once the tournament is over, the recovery time will be four to six weeks,” the institution added.
The nose fracture suffered by Zendejas occurred due to an accidental nudge by Jesús Gallardo when they were fighting for a ball; the United States national team player was later replaced by Leo Suárez.
Currently the Águilas of Club América are located in the third position of the table classification with a total of 27 points, this thanks to the victory registered against La Pandilla.
