
Wednesday night results.
In the first match of the night, Jon Moxley retained the AEW International Championship against Big Bill, who is accompanied by Ricky Starks.
▪After the fight, Starks and Bill attack Moxley and Danielson, but Claudio Castagnoli arrives to save his colleagues from the Blackpool Combat Club.
Roderick Strong is interviewed by Renee Paquette backstage, but is quickly interrupted by Adam Cole, who tells him that fighting Samoa Joe is a horrible idea due to the state of his neck.
▪Strong laughs wryly at the fact that Cole cares about him and claims that he will beat Joe tonight.
Tony Schiavone introduces Don Callis to the ring to reveal his next “masterpiece.” Konosuke Takeshita comes out with him and they go to the ring.
▪Callis claims that Takeshita is the “ace” of AEW, but when you beat Omega twice in seven days they call you the ‘Alpha’.
▪Callis says that when you are the ‘Alpha’ you don’t feel anything, but you take everything and more, so now they want to destroy Kenny Omega’s heart by defeating his next target, Kota Ibushi.
Alex Marvez interviews Blackpool Combat Club backstage.
▪Bryan Danielson challenges Ricky Starks and Big Bill to a fight at AEW Collision with Claudio Castagnoli as a teammate.
▪Rey Fenix, Penta El Zero Miedo and Eddie Kingston appear and confront them.
▪Kingston tells Castagnoli that there is one more week left for their fight and laughs.
Renee Paquette interviews Hook backstage, but Orange Cassidy quickly interrupts and says she was walking and saw Hook angry when he has a championship and can fight.
▪Hook recognizes that Cassidy is a great champion and Cassidy responds with the same.
▪Renee asks Orange if he’s okay and he says he’s still very tired.
Toni Storm defeated Hikaru Shida, Nyla Rose and Britt Baker and earns a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship at Dynamite Grand Slam against Saraya.
▪After the fight, Shida and Baker push each other and the tension increases between them.
Renee Paquette interviews Saraya and Ruby Soho backstage.
▪Saraya congratulates Toni Storm for winning today without her help, but remembers that Storm has lost her friends and her mind.
▪Saraya ends by saying that she will beat Toni next week and retain the AEW Women’s World Championship.
Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara come to the ring to give a promo one week before their match at Dynamite Grand Slam.
▪Jericho comments that they have both known each other since the first episode of Dynamite and have decided to broadcast a video that reviews their history since AEW began in 2019.
▪After the video, Jericho remembers the moment he saw Sammy Guevara for the first time at NWA 70 and he liked him so much that he told Tony Khan that they should sign him for All Elite Wrestling.
▪Sammy responds that the typical thing would be to speak badly about him, but he is not going to do it and thanks Jericho for changing the life of him and many others.
▪Guevara assures that without Jericho, there is no AEW.
▪Chris responds that it is true that Sammy has a very big opportunity next week if he really wants to reach his level.
▪Jericho confronts Sammy and tells him that he is going to go all out next week and expects the same from him.
A video from last week is broadcast in which a doctor tells MJF that he cannot travel to today’s AEW Dynamite show, but he can be there for the Grand Slam.
▪MJF celebrates the news because he is going to have a week off and dedicates a message to Roderick Strong first and then to Samoa Joe.
▪Max promises to drown Joe if he wins the tournament and plays with math and percentages, referencing Scott Steiner’s famous promo.
Adam Page defeated Brian Cage with a Dead Eye under the watchful eye of Swerve Strickland.
▪After the match, Page grabs a microphone and provokes Swerve by telling him that he thought last week that he should take a step forward to get the position he wants so much in AEW.
▪Swerve says that he will go after Page whenever he wants and announces that they will face each other at AEW WrestleDream, but first he is going to make sure that it does not come in the best possible way.
▪The rest of Mogul Embassy enters the ring to attack Page, but The Young Bucks come out to help him.
Renee Paquette interviews Daniel Garcia and asks him about Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho, something he doesn’t like because people always talk about them and never about him.
▪Don Callis interrupts and tries to recruit him, but Garcia silences him, dances and rejects the offer, but Callis says that this is attractive to get money and goes after him.
Darby Allin and Nick Wayne defeated Daddy Magic and Cool Hand.
▪Seconds after the match begins, Christian Cage and Luchsaurus come out to watch the fight from the commentary table.
▪After the fight, Christian Cage addresses Nick Wayne and tells him that he has been checking his mother’s Instagram and has seen that she does not have many bikini images, so he has already sent a petition for that to change. ▪Chrisian remembers that in AEW All In he lost, but he did not receive the count of three and he did not have his usual partner.
▪Cage challenges Allin and Sting to a match next week at Dynamite Grand Slam.
In the main event of AEW Dynamite, Samoa Joe defeated Roderick Strong in the tournament finals for a shot at the AEW World Championship next week at Dynamite Grand Slam.
▪After the match, Joe promises that he is going to beat MJF next week and that he is going to take everything from him. Joe leaves and Adam Cole comes out worried about Roderick Strong.
▪Strong drops to the ground, pretending he has a neck injury, but Cole doesn’t notice and remains worried.
▪The AEW medical team comes out to take Roderick Strong while Adam Cole looks very worried.
▪Matt Taven and Mike Bennett prevent Cole from accompanying Strong to the hospital and Samoa Joe comes out again to attack Cole with a surrender key.
