Mexican Raúl Jiménez’s position at Fulham could be in jeopardy since, according to various media reports, the London club would be evaluating investing in another striker in the next transfer window.

With the money obtained from the sale of Aleksandar Mitrovic to the Al-Hilal club in Saudi Arabia, the name that sounds from various media in Brazil is that of Gabriel Barbosabut at the moment he has a contract with Flamengo.

“Gabigol” already has experience in European football with Inter in Serie A and with Benfica in Portugal. According to the Transfermarkt platform, Barbosa has a market value of more than $21 million.

The Rio de Janeiro striker was the gold medal winner at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and is a two-time Copa Libertadores champion with Flamengo in 2019 and 2022.

Raúl Jiménez remained in the Premier League after spending the last five years at Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he became the player with the most goals in a single season in the club’s history, conceding 40 goals in 135 games.

The Mexican has yet to score in the Premier League with Fulham this season.
