Claudio Giráldez has renewed as coach of RC Celta de Vigo until 2027. The coach extends his contract for another two years, after “promoting from the reserve team” last season, according to the statement released by the club this Wednesday. Giráldez was leading Celta Fortuna when the first team called him on March 12. Since then, the club assures, “the coach from Porriñés showed a degree of commitment and unquestionable worth.” The entity has also published a video on social network to break the news.
Celta de Vigo has played a total of 19 League games with Giráldez at the helm, in which they have accumulated nine wins and three draws to add a total of 30 points. This season, the Vigo team are in ninth position in the table. Last year they finished thirteenth. “With Giráldez at the helm, the light blue team has developed brave, ambitious and effective football,” the entity said in the statement.
Furthermore, Celta has announced the renewal of all the current members of the technical team accompanying Giráldez, who will continue – like the coach – until 2027.
