Marina Borenstein She turned 58 and celebrated surrounded by her closest loved ones, including her husband Oscar Martínez, and far from the land where she was born. The writer and the actor have been living in Madrid, Spain, for some time now, and there they started a new life.
Marina and Oscar have been together for almost 20 years and their reality finds them as united as ever but in the Motherland, from where she is responsible for continuing to nourish the writer’s spirit that she discovered years ago due to a traumatic health problem.
“In 2011, two months after marrying the love of my life and shortly after turning forty-six, I received news that was as unexpected as it was dramatic: I had breast cancer… After an initial moment of confusion, I began to accuse “While I was doing what I had to do to heal my physical body – surgery, radiation, hormone treatment – I began an intense spiritual search.”Marina knew how to tell.
“With more or less luck, I ventured into diverse disciplines that ranged from yoga and meditation to reiki, acupuncture, flower therapy, homeopathy, psychoanalysis and conscious eating,” Borensztein added in his review of the episode that ended up changing his life forever.
I TRANSFORM THE NEGATIVE INTO POSITIVE
“In that difficult and painful process I applied a kind of intuitive trial and error method to guide me on the path to recovery… I knew I had to take care of my mind, my body, my spirit but I didn’t know where to start “I read a lot, I looked for information. Meanwhile, I wrote everything.”Marina shared, in first person, some time ago.
Borensztein edited “I got sick to get better”his first book, in 2015. And a year later it came out “This is how I take care of myself”the second, where he gathered anecdotes and everything researched about natural nutrition, nutrients, healthy habits, yoga and meditation among other topics. Then, in 2018 he released “Peace, love and green juice”, a guide to juices, smoothies, vegetable milks and soups, in addition to giving tips and secrets for a healthier life.
