After the last Indonesian Grand Prix, the next MotoGP World Championship event will be in Japan, at the Motegi circuit. Jorge Martín will try to maintain the lead in the world championship and continue expanding the advantage with Francesco Bagnaia, whom he has 21 points in the standings. The Spaniard managed to take first place in Indonesia, clearly surpassing Acosta and Bagnaia. Marc Márquez, along with seven other drivers, failed to finish the race. The Catalan is in fourth position in the table, 78 points behind the head of the standings.

Brad Binder leads the podium at the Japanese GP. Marc Márquez and Jorge Martín are in second and third place respectively. Pedro Acosta is 4th, Enea Bastianini 5th, Pecco Bagnaia is 7th and Álex Márquez, 8th from the Motegi circuit.
