This Wednesday, the Competition Committee ruled on the partial closure of the Civitas Metropolitano stadium for three games and 45,000 euros for the incidents recorded in the minutes of last Sunday’s Madrid derby. Busquets Ferrer included in the record the throwing of several lighters at the area where Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was while the match was being played. The Belgian was the one who raised the alarm to the referee and he decided to stop the game for almost 20 minutes. With this sanction, the Colchonero stadium marks the fourth partial closure order in seven years. The last one was last April due to racist insults to Nico Williams from the south end during Atlético – Ahtletic on matchday 33 of LaLiga. The Disciplinary Committee closed the Metropolitano stands for two games and imposed a financial penalty of 20,000 euros on the club.
